In the Jr. Middleweight first bout of the evening Rohan Nanton scored a secound round TKO over Curtis Hinton Hinton was down from a right hand but beat the count but a left hook to to body sent him down again and that was the end of his evening. The secound bout was between to pro debut LT. Heavyweights. Ray Smith of Little Rock Ar. made short work of Micheal Lancaster from Southaven Ms. Sending him to the canvas twice in the first minute. The third bout Jr. Middleweight Edy Chavez of Olive Branch made his pro deut against Rick Swift of Jackson Tn, also in his pro debut went 4 rounds with Chavez winning every round on 2 judges score cards and 3 rounds on the other score card. In the fight of the evening Ali Muhhmad of Southaven and Marty Robbins from Crossville Tn. squared off for a 6 round Jr. Welterweight battle Marty dropped Ali in the 3rd round but Ali got up and rallied back. Each fighter threw a lot of punches. Marty got the decision and the crowd gave both fighters a standing ovation. In the main event Laffarrell Bunting from Memphis was pitted against Billy Joe Tipton from Conington Tn. for a Lt. Heavyweight contest. Laffarrell played with Tipton in the first round like a cat with a mouse in round 2 the playing must have become boring to Bunting as he put Tipton on the ropes and battered him with a barage of punches that sent Tipton down but much to Tipton’s credit he beat the count but the ref see he was out of it called a halt to the contest. Giving Bunting his 11th win aganist 1 loss.
