2010 Title National Championships! Ripley High school, Ripley TN
The new Ripley High school, Ripley TN, will serve as host for the 4th Annual Title National Championships (June, 2-5, 2010).
With over 600 boxers and nearly 400 coaches and spectators the event will bring revenue to this community. Last year the event, hosted in Holly Springs, MS, brought in over seventy-five thousand dollars to the North Mississippi economy in just four days.
The tournament, in which some of the nation’s elite amateurs have competed, is sponsored by Title Boxing Equipment of Lenexa, KS, It was founded in 2006 by Brain & Russ Young of Prize Fight Boxing and Coach John Bryant with the goal to bring mid-south kids off the streets and into the gym. Many major metro areas have a boxing program for at risk groups which focuses on the same goal. Bringing a tournament of this size to the Memphis area will offer young at risk kids other an alternative to crime in the streets.
The 2010 tournament will be bigger than 2009, with 3 rings of boxing beginning at 6 pm daily (a second session may be added at 12 noon if needed).
