Welterweight, Marteze Logan, coming off a loss to Jeffrey Resto (17-0, 11 KOs) on the undercard of the Monteil – Johnson fight, defeated Mark Ladner (0-3) by a RD 1 TKO and Donnell Wiggins (19-2-2, 11 KOs) TKO’d Caseny (K.C.) Truesdale (8-46-2, 6 KOs) in a cruiserweight matchup. Both fights where on the card of a new fight series being held at the Trap Nightclub in Nashville, Tennessee.

Roy Decisions Buford After 4!
Posted in 2003, Boxing News, Reports with tags Burford, New Daisy, Roy on August 8, 2003 by ChampChris Buford of Memphis, TN, showed a tremendous heart in his bout with Terrence Roy of Riley, TN, by standing right in front of Roy and taking some great shots. Buford has a great chin in he showed it last night. Roy threw lots of great combination shots in this fight and Buford did a good job of countering these combs. There was a great deal of action in this fight as most of it took place at center ring with the exception of the one time that Roy cornered Buford and work him over. Buford eventually punched his way out but lost a UD to Roy.
Bonds KO’s Milligan in 3!
Posted in 2003, Boxing News, Reports with tags Bonds, Milligan, New Daisy on August 6, 2003 by ChampKen Milligan (222 lbs.) had Superman in his corner last night at the New Daisy but was unable to come out on top when he faced a game Richard Bonds (221 lbs.). Milligan went to the body well and landed some hard shots as Bonds landed clean punches up the middle with his jab and straight right. Milligan spent a lot of time on the ropes but not necessarily because of pressure from Bonds and when this happened Bonds was able to pick his shots. In round 3 Milligan showed the crowd some life with some great counter punching but is lured into a corner. Bonds goes to work and knocks out Milligan’s mouth guard. Milligan then takes a standing 8 count. Bonds quickly resumes his pressure landing some brutal shots and at 2:40 of round 3, Milligan takes a knee. Milligan can’t chooses not to continue.
