June 18, Bang! Fighting Championships will hold their eleventh show at Sams Town Casino, Tuncia.
This explosive evening of fights will feature thirteen action packed amateur bouts culminating with a showdown pitting two Memphis area fighters, Thomas “The Die Hard Kidd” Vasquez, in his pro debut, verses Anthony “Lights Out” Jones in a PRO Main Event.
Nashville native, Frank Wood (21-3, 14KO) willl take on fellow heavyweight Terry Porter (14-17-3, 9KO). Porter, coming of a solid performance against Dan Ward, has faced some serious opposition in the ring. He has fought a long list of big names the likes of Monte Barrett, Samuel Peter, Leo Nolan, Michael Moorer, Faruq Saleem, David Bostice, Cedric Boswell, and James Toney. Frank Wood has also face a few heavy hitters such as Brian Nelson, Sherman Williams and also Leo Nolan. Both fighters lost TKO 5 to Nolan. Porter’s fight with Frank Wood should a crowd pleaser.
The Main Event showcases Light heavyweights, John Johnson (3-0, 3 KO) vs T.C. James (5-21, 3KO). Show is 6/19/04 at 7:30pm in the River Palace Entertainment Center.
